word just shuts off

I've had a problem for a while with pocket word. Sometimes itwont even open but most of the time it will just disappear while in the middle of typing something. this actually happens with all of the word processing apps. like note and excel also. It doesn't save it and its not running in the background. it just poof... disappears. in the past, soft reset would help for a while, but those days are over.
now, all resetting does is fixes it when it fails to even start Word, it still crashes though anybody else have this problem?

PS: X30 High- WM 2003 S.E Ver. 4.21.1088 ROM A05
desktop runnung XP and Active Sync

I notice on WM5 if I open Word and close it, I need to soft reset to open it again.
