Not a problem. So many people have helped me in the past on these forums, I am glad to pay some back. By the way, it is lower case "L" - lshale. Let that be a lesson to me next time I pick a screen name...

Yay! That finally fixed my DST problem too!! I just needed to soft-reset after I installed the cab file. :approve:

I had problems as well, but it was fixed nicely by the installation of the .cab file.

It was a very smooth solution to the problem.

daylight savings time - not working AGAIN!

I am certain I had successfully installed the patch before, but the time on my x30 has once again not changed for daylight savings time. I found the file named WM2K23DST_signed.cab and tried dragging it to the MyDocuments folder as described below but it won't open - I'm getting an error message that says it's not a valid install file. I am running ActiveSync 4.5 and the time on my computer has updated.
Is this the correct file? It's the only one I could find.

Note: I found the correct patch and have been able to change the time, but my recurring appointments are now all an hour late. Do I need to change the time on these?

One of the main issues with the patch is that you need to change to a different timezone and the back again to make it complete the changes.

I have an x51V running WM2003SE.
I tried the WMDST2008-1.cab file route. It says that it's not a valid windows CE setup file.
So I tried the desktop installer. It didn't seem to do anything after installing.
But I changed time zones on the x51 and the time is still off.
Do I need to use a 2009 cab file? I can't seem to find one on the net.

This is impossible, X51v runs WM5 and up.

Check what device and operating system you have.

Is the .cab file WMDST2008-1.CAB? This is a winzip file. Is winzip supported on Windows Mobile 2003?
