X30 freezes on Hard Reset!!!

:(I don't know what's happening to my poor little X30. Everything was working fine, playing games, listening to mp3s, etc. I tried to copy and paste a screen shot of a card game that I had finally won, when problems started happening. I could not copy the bmp file from the main, to my Sandisk 4GB sd card on the device, so I tried to do it through activesync. The file copied to my flashcard, but file explorer, nor picture viewer would open up the pic I kept getting an "error trying to load image" message...I tried to copy and paste other items and noted that strange folders, with fonts that I did not recognize (definately not english) copied onto my flashcard...Some were 2 to 3 GB in size. Very strange. I figured that maybe the flashcard was corrupted, so I formatted it-a few times. Tried to re-copy folders and programs back onto the card, same thing happened again, strange files loaded, with unusual fonts for names and I could not delete them...Thus, the format. I figured, maybe some files have become corrupted on my X30, so I tried to do a hard reset. The hard reset procedes, screen alignment and then it freezes on a page that shows info on what to do with [COLOR="Red"]pop up menus[./COLOR] It stays on this screen as if it is stuck, or frozen...I tried hard reset, soft reset removed battery, to no avail...Is my pda doa?

Have you tried the card in a card reader or another device (digital camera, etc.)? Have you tried a hard reset with the card removed? Is this a regular SD (i.e., not SDHC) card?

I did try the card in my computer's card reader and initially, everything looked fine. I sstuck it back into the Axim and did a soft reset, that is when all of these strange folders started showing up on the flashcard...It is the standard SD card. I think it may be corrupted. Did get the hard reset to work, did not realise that I was supposed to literally do what the "picture indicated" I was to copy and paste to get to the next screen, then the hard reset showed up as successful. I'm wondering if I need to get rid of the 4Gb Sandisk that I have and try another brand. If there is a problem with this disk, how soon before the problem occurs again?

I would contact Sandisk as it should still be under warranty. Hopefully you did not get it off Ebay where it is most likely to be a fake.
