File association

How do I associate a file? I want to just double tap on a pdf file to open it up with out going to adobe and selecting the file.

You can do this with a registry hack, but there's also software you can use to do it. I use SKTOOLS, a really great utility, that includes the ability to set file associations, but there are other applications that do the same thing.

Although I've not tried it, Pocketweak is a freeware app that edits registry file associations. I think it's principally geared for WM2003 it may work with WM5. I'd recommend doing a backup first...

I'm not aware of any freeware, perhaps the app that Breley recommended will work, but you could download a trial version of SKTOOLS and make the change.

Okay I must be missing something. I select the pdf file, the select open but it does not give me a option to choose program. What am I missing?
