What?!?! My x30 shall never die, even if it has to go the way of Frankenstein's monster!
Seriously though, I'm not sure...while it's nice that HP and some other manufacturers are making non-phone PDAs still, I'm wondering how much I would want to spend again on a device (and its accessories, not to mention for a separate phone). I'm testing out the waters with a relatively old converged device right now, a Siemens SX66 (also known under many other names), which is pretty nice as it also runs WM2003 SE but has some other nice features, such as ability to use BT keyboards through HID profile and a slide out thumb board. It also utilizes WiFi and BT, so if for some reason my x30 dies soon, I have a pretty handy stand-in that will also act as a phone if needed.
The other thing I've had interest in are the internet-centric devices such as Nokia's Internet Tablet or Intel's (soon-to-come?) MIDs... for me, I've heavily used my Axim's wireless and wouldn't mind a larger screen and better resolution. For devices such as the Internet Tablet that run on Linux, I would hope it is relatively easy to add on whatever PIM functions one needs.
