Dial via Bluetooth does not show - FIXED

I was able to successfully get my old data from old x30 to my new Axim x30.

The 'dial via bluetooth' option is not showing up when I select a contact.

The only options that show are:
Send Email
Beam Contact
Delete Contact

How can I get my dial via bluetooth set up? (I had it on the old unit)

I will hazard to guess that your new Axim is running the A06 ROM. As far as I know, your best bet would be to downgrade to the A05 ROM.

Searching here should give you the steps necessary to downgrade I hope. If you don't already have the A05 ROM, you can download it from Dell's website (in a somewhat roundabout way, to me). Any further questions or clarification needed, feel free to ask.

Thank you! I was able to find a long string regarding the whole ao5 a06.

I do have the 05 download. How do I install it? Is it as simple as just installing? or do I have to do mor tech stuff like hard reset?

I did not find a link in the search on specific steps for a downgrade

First, yeah, I would try the regular method suggested at the bottom of this page, by Dell:
Drivers & Downloads

Otherwise, I would try the via SD card method detailed here:
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x30-x...formation.html

Note: I actually downgraded my x30 mid from A06 to A05 last week, but I believe I used a variation of the first method- I had an A05 .RIS file (ROM backup image) from a looong time ago when I originally *upgraded* from A05 to A06. Hopefully the first method will still work for you even if you don't have the .RIS file.

It would not let me 'downgrade', but the flash card option worked like a charm.

THANKS!
