Question Worth updating the ROM? Using A02

I'm currently using A02 Rom Version. Should I upgrade my ROM or keep it? Also is this a reason why I can't use a bluetooth keyboard on my PDA because of an old ROM version?

First, I'm not sure what link you posted, but the x5's ROMs will not work on the x30. The latest ROM for the x30 is A06, but if you don't have a pressing need for it, I don't know of a reason to upgrade.

Unfortunately, I do not think you will be able to use a bluetooth keyboard or mouse with the x30 (regardless of ROM version) without some extra software. Normally, BT devices make use of a certain 'profile' in order to be useful. The x30 does not include the HID (Human Interface Device) profile, which allows BT keyboards and mice to be used. If you hop over and ask on the x50/x51 boards, they might have an answer on how to change the existing BT stack on the x30 and add the HID profile, but I'm not certain.

Otherwise, you can get hardware that has additional software drivers to make everything work. I have a Think Outside (the brand name has changed, I believe, by now) Bluetooth mouse that I am able to use with my x30, but there were drivers for WM2003 that I had to install in order to make it work.

! ---> Unused after switching to Nokia n800
x30 Thumbboard driver link (as Belkin graciously doesn't deign to use up space to support it anymore):

Is it possible for you to give me these drivers?

You can try getting the drivers for Think Outside's BT keyboard here:
Mobility Electronics

Unfortunately, I doubt that these will work work as the drivers are separate from the HID BT profile (and hence would only work with Think Outside's products), but you can always give it a try.

Yeah I tried those already. It doesn't work. All I need now is a driver. I tried Bluemouse but it doesn't work in Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

Cool

considering that they're up to A06 now, I'd say yes, it's a good idea....google "pocket pc 2003 upgrade", and the first or second hit has all the upgrades going back several years...
