Accessing Audio / Video File over WiFi using NAS

Just currious, but can you share audio and video files over WiFi then play them directly through the x30? Basically I'd like to attach a 250gig NAS to a wifi router, then connect to the NAS from my x30 over wifi and load up entire play lists. This is mainly to be used as a wireless, low power car MP3 / video player.

Yes you can, it works fine for me with a X50v.

Awsome! On a related note, anyone who is trying this might consider the Asus WL-500g wireless router since it also has USB 2.0 ports so you could connect those portable usb powered HD's instead. Or even web cams and such.

It is exactly what I'm using. It is nice because it is very small and easy to bring on travel if needed.

Hi Could you direct me to the step by step of doing this? I have xp media center and generally (although often experience crashes) using pocketmusic to listen to mp3's. I'd like to access my pc's mp3's.

Basically there is no difference using af PC or a NAS devise as the "container" for your media files.

The idea is to make a shared drive/folder on the PC or the NAS, and then to connect to this shared drive/folder from your PDA. I use GSPlayer for audio files and the TCPMP player for the videos. I'm also using the GSPlayer for listening to internet radio.

I no this is not a "step by step" instruction - but you learn a lot fiddling around yourselves. Anyway, the setup differs for different device/operating system/networking etc.:)
