Aximsitesoftwareicon Axim X30 limit me to install up to 400 meg when using a 2gb kingston SD

I put a 2gb kingston Sd to my Axim x30. I don't know if it was formated my the manufacturer but I only could use up to 400 meg of space when installing software.

Do you think if formatted I could use more space or even better(dreaming),90% of the 2gb?
Have any one been successfully partition the 2gb to two distincg 1gb space area, recognizable and highly functional with Axim x30?

SD cards should come ready to work last I knew. This is a shot in the dark, but did you buy the Kingston card from a retail (or reputable) place? A knockoff is one of the few things I can think of, other than the card just being bad.

I've had no problems with all of my Kingston cards so far, but I don't think any of them are 2GB. I do have a PQI 2GB micro-SD + SD adapter in my x30, and it's been working fine so far. Right now I have 677.6 MB used out of 1919.63MB on it.

I mentioned this in another thread before reading this one but will mention it again anyways since here you confirmed something I'd just thought of. :)

FAT16 was your problem, you ran out of root directory entries which got mistaken as a space problem. More info on that is available here and this could affect any drive using FAT16:
Errors Creating Files or Folders in the Root Directory

Good to know that the card is working fine now. You had me worried and shaken about Kingston's good quality reputation (that I've experienced at least).
