Configuring outlook on X30 help.

I'm trying to configure my outlook to work with hotmail.
I add a new account and configure as the wizzard prompts.
Add the pop3 & smtp as required and complete the remaining steps in the wizzard.
When I try to connect it tells me to check my incoming mail server. What am I missing?

I'm using

pop3.live.com
smtp.live.com

Log in as my complete e-mail address

Are you using the free Hotmail or are you actually paying for that service?

The free versions of Hotmail and Yahoo Mail (Gmail is more generous though) do not give you POP3 access as far as I know. You have to step up to the basic level of paid service for that.
