X3 shuts down browser when connecting to eBay

Hi All, Hopefully this is just an easy fix. I just bought a used X3 and while connected wireless internet I'm having a problem. When i try to connect to eBay it will shut down my IE explorer. I seem to be able to connect to every other site that I've tried but not eBay. Any ideas?

Thanks
Terry

I think you may just be out of luck if you're trying to use the regular version of Ebay. If I'm not mistaken, PIE (for WM 2003) was based on Internet Explorer 4...so it wouldn't be surprising to me if current (flashy/complex) websites would crash it. I know that I have had the same problem when trying to sign out of the desktop version of Yahoo Mail and have never solved it (nor bothered to find out really).

If you can make do with the mobile version of Ebay, try going to eBay mobile . Otherwise, you may have to spring for a more advanced browser such as Opera Mobile 8.65 (and pay money for it).

Edit: I just tried to go to eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices on my x30, and I also have PIE crash while trying to load it. I doubt that this issue is unique to the x3 and is just one more indication of how dated PIE is.

I have the same issue, but I can access ebay from one of my forums I belong to. Like if someone post an ebay item link. If I go into ebay that way I never have any problems.

Have you tried using a different browser? You could try Opera or Netfront to see if you have a different experience:

Opera Mobile download

NetFront Browser for Mobile
