Taking your axim apart and transfering the WIFI/BT card from one x30 to another

I have two axim x30s. One that does not have WIFI/BT and one with WIFI/BT but a bad sinc pin. Has anyone on this forum taken their axim apart and moved their wifi/bt card/chip off their motherboard and successfully moved it to another. Is it glued down, is it soldered?

It does not look that hard, but I am looking for any experience in this subject.
thanks

Here is how to change the screen on a x30:

Dell Axim X3 Take Apart Directions: PDAparts is the Palm Treo, HP iPAQ, Blackberry, iPhone, PDA Parts and Repair Specialist

There you also can see the antenna for the wifi/BT module.
If i remember correct, it should be possible to do, i don't remember it was stuck when i changed the screen on my x30.

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks for the info but that not my issue. I am talking about the circuit board that the wifi antenna plugs into and the bt antenna. Its 1 square inch. Its on the top left of the mother board. I figured I can transfer one of those from a bad pda to one that does not have one at all. Otherwise that’s it. I don’t want to break it so that why I am looking for so experience on this site.
thanks for the help though and your English is fine.

if i were you i wouldnt try, if anything switch the sync pins (put good one in wireless x30). if you do anything wrong it will kill the axim, plus the non wi-fi one will not have drivers, hardware or firmware to run the wireless card. switch the sync pins if you have good soldering skills, if not leave them as it is

I read your reply 2 hours two late. I got the chip off easy but needed to take off a connector on the board as well. I broke the plastic connector, so now both models no longer have wifi/ bt. Oh well, these were junk pdas I built from parts. I guess I will use them for just that.
thanks
