Looking forward to the new spb pocket plus.
Which leads me to a question: Does anyone remember the "limit" our SD slot can handle? I thought the largest card we could put in was 1 gig (Admittedly, I haven't tried anything larger, - too afraid it won't work and I've wasted money)...

My Dell Axim X30 624MHz
has been using a 150x 2GB SD for long time without any problem,
before that I use 1GB or less.

I've been using my X30 since I get it in 2004 till now.
My bluetooth light is not working, but the bluetooth function still works.
I've been using the same battery & would like to get a replacement.

The energy leaf standard size battery is quite good. During the period when the port of my pda was broken, a new energy leaf battery held for more than 2 months in my pda (with the pda turned off during that time).

The backup battery on mine died months ago. I hadn't used it for anything in over a year since I got my iPhone. Although I will be getting my new iPhone on July 11th with GPS, I didn't want to wait on a portable GPS to start geocaching. So, I got my X30 out of moth balls and ordered a new backup battery and a Spectec SDIO GPS with MicroSD 512MB card. Once those are here, I'll load it with maps and start using it again. I also ordered a PDA mount for my new bicycle for geocaching on some of the trails around here.

I have the 624Mhz model and I always loved my X30.

Use mine on the road
Frankly, it can't be beat for holding Word and Excel files -- I often have a huge list of companies to see at a trade show, or I want to access something as far as past coverage, all possible contacts, etc. Handwriting recognition is good enough for quick jotting of notes. And, with a spare battery or two, I can watch several movies while flying from California to the U.S. East Coast or Europe (transcoded via FairUse).

It's not the newest, and it will die someday. But it keeps going, and it's certainly doing its job for me now.

I still use my X3i every night. I use it to get caught up on various news sources using Google Reader. Plus I use it to listen to streaming Shoutcast stations. During the day I use a Motorola Q as my main device. Plus I also have an iPhone that doesn't have any phone service, but I use it as an iPod Touch. I can no longer sync my X3i, the sync connector broke a long time ago and I just haven't wanted to pay the money to get it repaired. But it does charge okay. It is still a great device IMO.

It has been a long time since I've checked in at Aximsite. I came here because I'm trying to see if I can get Opera Mini installed on my X3i. I have it running on my Q and love it. I actually prefer browsing the web on it over Safari on my iPhone.

I have the high speed (624 Mhz) version, and it connects to my home wireless WPA-TKip network without issues, using whatever was included on the thing when new.
What is a OEM replacement?

I copy movies and use it to watch movies. If I'm somewhere with wifi I connect to my media center pc via Orb and watch TV or stream my movies or music. I use it as an mp3 player for audiobooks. Check my email with it. I love it. Although it's getting a little sluggish. Might be time for me to reload the software on it.

When it finally dies, my next one will probably be a EeePC.
