I almost messed them up again, but I just kept hitting pipes with wrenches and they're going strong. I gotta get me some programs to put on 'em, hopefully they don't blow up. (Going through the stickied threads with all the good stuff already listed)
I think the backup batteries in them are toast though, cause they keep going down, but that probably shouldn't be too big of a deal eh?
One thing I kinda consider a problem is that they're not diggin my 4 gig micro SDHC card. I know there's a patch for the Motorola Q to make it read bigger cards, so I'm guessing there's gotta be a patch for these things since it's all windows mobile. Got any ideas on that?
But now that I think about it, I think the X30's have a section of memory (BIS?) that is unaffected by a hard reset. Perhaps someone with a little more knowledge of the x30 series could jump in here and straighten me out.
It's been a long time since I used an X30, and I'm much more familiar with wm5 and wm6.
If that is the case, you may just need to clear out everything from there and you will be back to new.
It really sounds like there are unwanted programs reinstalling after the hard reset.
Yea, the bis is similar to a memory card, except it cant be removed. But, it shouldnt be autorunning stuff.
Back to the original post, delete everything you can, b/c on pocket pcs the necessary files are in the rom and cant be deleted. Eveything the user adds is in the ram and can be mod/deleted.
