On windows mobile, microsoft only updates software when it issues a new os.
And on mobile devices, an os upgrade is a lot different than computers. A rom has to be made for the specific device. And as far as i know there is nothing to upgrade the X30 / X3 / X3i.
You might want to check out some 3rd party software that will be newer and better than the included software.
