Icon3 Windows does not recognize device

Greetings from a newb;
Axim X30, when attached to laptop using sync cable receives this message: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."

I have uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSync. Axim gets same message on other computers. I have performed a hard reset.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprciated.

Make sure that your Regional Settings are set appropriately. From memory Start > Settings > System (tab) > Regional Settings.

Try another USB port (not a hub)

Check for any BIOS updates from the manufacturer of your PC

BTW, welcome to Aximsite
