Dell Axim x30 and Avantgo problem

My X30 worked fine on my old XP laptop but I have just bought a new laptop with Vista installed. I downloaded and installed the Vista equivalent to Activesync and it syncs ok with the laptop but Avantgo is giving me problems as I get an error message when trying to sync, "insufficient memory on device". Has anyone any idea why this is happening given that it has the same amount of free memory as it did before when it downloaded the channels perfectly well via XP.
