Need help getting X30 working/synching with new (freshly wiped hard drive) computer
I have the Axim X30 and hubby just wiped my hard drive for me, so I need to reinstall Axim on my computer now. I'm using Windows XP and I've installed the software that came with my X30 (back in 2005, I think), but it's not recognizing it.

So, what do I need to install to get my Axim working on my PC now that it's up and running once again? TIA

If, by the software that came with it, you mean Active Sync, that and Outlook are about all you need as the basics.

You may want to try a newer version of AS, although with an X30 you shouldn't need too.

Hubby may have installed a new firewall, or a few other things that might be affecting your ability to connect.

Have a look in the Active Sync forum for some of the reasons for a bad connection, or post again with some more details of what your setup is and what specific problems you are having.

If you mean that the software (on your PC) is not recognising your Axim: try changing the Regional Settings in Start > Settings > System (tab) > Regional Settings (icon). These settings should match the region setup on your PC.
