axim x30 cannot restore backup

I have some backups with dbk extension that i made earlier and now that i need a restore, my axim wouldnt recognise it. couldnt restorre from pc either. i tried spb backup, but that can only make executable backups, cannot use normal backups. the sprite i don't have. any ideas? next time i'll make an executable backup for sure, but for now, i'd prefer a backup to reinstall all that software again....

Are you restoring because you have reset the device? If so, you may want to check that you have reset the Regional Settings correctly. Thereafter, you should be able to connect to Activesync and then restore from there.

Are you getting any error messages?

hmmm. the battery ran flat and the backup battery as well. So it lost all information. I just wanted to avoid the pain of reinstalling everything. The error message was that the Activesync didn't even find the backup file in the given folder and the pda said something like format unrecognisable when i tried to restore from memory card.
Now i've reinstalled everything, but it's still bugging me.
And now the question occurs: How can i change the backup battery? In the X5 it was the simplest thing.
