Font files undeletable

When I was new to my X3, I thought it would be fun to use extra fonts for my texts. Now that I have amassed lots of files, I would like to delete some ofthe larger font files (.ttf) from the Windows directory. Every time I try to do so, however, I get an error message, telling me that the file(s) is (are) in use by some application, although this is impossible.

Any ideas? Gratefulness guaranteed!

No, it's not impossible. Most Windows systems (including Mobile) lock system files including font files. Font files are cached for quick use when the system boots. The O/S probably locks the files to prevent what you are trying to do so a crash won't result if you try to load a document or run an application that requires that font.

It's likely that you will simply need to do a hard reset to remove these.
