SDIO scanner in Axim X3?

Hi All,
I bought an Axim X3 to use with a couple of Socket SDIO barcode scanners. They don't seem to get detected by it, though. (This is the thanks I get for putting in a new backup bettery!)

I have the same scan software installed in it as I do my Axim X51v, and they get detected in it. I know the X51v has Mobile 5.0, and the X3 has 2003, but I have the same software installed on an Axim X5, using a CF card scanner, and it works there.

The fact that the software works on the X5 and X51v makes me think the different OS's are okay with it. Is there something about the SDIO slot in an X3 that is different? I know SDIO was fairly new in the Axim line. Do I heed a special poece of software running to get the SDIO to work? Anyhtiong else I might be missing?

I suspect that your slot is only SD, but hopefully someone will tell me I am wrong.

I wondered about that, but the X3 manual says it's SDIO. I just wondered if there was an early SDIO spec it followed that was later supersceded or something. Unfortunately, I don't have any other SDIO cards to try in it.
