Avantgo is soon Avantgone

I have been using Avantgo for several years with great success.

When I synced this AM, I recieved the message that Avantgo is cutting me off at the end of the month - sounds like they are going to phones only.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a substitute?

Wow, that ....stinks. Looks like they are also cutting off all Palm OS devices as well when they release their new application.

Hrm, I can't suggest a replacement right now cause that's what I've been using myself for the last 5 years...

I used Avantgo until about a year and half ago. Now I use Mobipocket. It seems a lot better, at least for off-line browsing.

FSMan - thanks for the suggestion, I plan to check it out.

I have also run across recommendations to iSilo and Pocket Express.

Does anyone here have any experience with either of those, as off-line news readers?

When I had my axim x5 I used avantgo all the time with activesync. Now with wireless I saw myself just logging onto the web page myself. Were a good app though.
