If you click on the different items in the "What is in the Box?" pictuer on the first page of Chris' X3i review, it will pull up a more detailed picture of each item.

Here is a direct link to the detailed pic of the X3. Click Here For Link

Look at the difference on the new Power Button. It now has a colored ring (green/orange) around the outside circumference of the button. And still has the International Power Symbol glowing inside that circle as well. Appears to be much more visible.

It's just as its name says.....a symbol for Power. If you pay attention, it's used on tons of items with a power button/switch.

Basically, it's just an International symbol that signifies "power" no matter what language you read.

I should have been more clear. I know it means power, but what is the sigfinigance(spelling?) of the circle with a line through the top?

Stupid question? Maybe, but I'm allowed at least one, right?

I have no clue of what it really means....

I would guess that because the flow of electricity is circuitous, the Line through the top probably symbolizes a "switch." Thus, why it is used as the graphic for many Power buttons/switches.

That's what I always thought it ment. But I (nor anyone I know) knows what it really means. Thanks anyway, Jordan.

Edit: Fixed a typo.

Well, not sure of why a "1" is over a 0.... but in "power/digital terms" 0 means off, and 1 means on.. so I guess the 1 over the 0 Is just a symbol of it being "On or Off" On some older PC's with a rocker switch, Its just a O or a "1" - Vs newer devices with a push button on or off, it just means it handles both, on or off, vs a rocker type switch.

Just a guess :rolling:

I'd second that guess. Binary state of 1 or 0.

Binary state of 1 or 0 makes the most sense to me, 1 on top of the 0
