Wow, the difference between the X5 Basic and Advanced is that much? Is that noticeable to human eyes?

Your tests don't ad up

bargain pda did a test between these models and got completely different results. I think somethings fishy here.

Can someone do any comparisons with the X3 and X5 Basic models, as I'm struggling to decide between the two.

Thanks

Wifi usage on the X3i is much faster than on the X5 (pxa250) running 2002 w/linksys card. Pages load almost instantly (1-2 secs) whereas on the X5 they might take 5-10 secs. I can also tell the wifi has a longer range, because when I stick the X5 out the window in my office I pick up nothing, when I do the same with the X3 I pick up signal on 2 APs

I ran Spb Benchmark and got very different results between the Axim X5 Advanced and the Axim X3i than you did.

Could the results have something to do with the fact that BargainPDA used WM2002? I remember seeing a post on here about the bus speed being set at 100 mhz on the older X5's, but with the WM2003 models you can adjust the performance to maximum and get 200 mhz bus speed.

Question Benchmarks

Could you post the Spb Graphics index and the Spb Benchmark index for the x3 300 mhz. It looks like the File system index got on there twice.

I am on a budget and am getting ready to buy a refurbished x3 300 or x4 400. The x3 300 is selling for $149.00 and the x3 400 is at $225.00. I am also concerned about battery life and read that the x3 300 has a little better battery life. I can't consider the wi-fi model at this time due to budget. Thank you for your help!
