Latest version of Active Sync

Microsoft says the latest version of Active Sync is 3.7.1. But when I download and install, it still shows 3.7 Build 3083. Is that the latest version?

Hey thanks for the version info.

Turns out, you must shut down activesync before installing the new one. Seems to work now. Thanks!

scratching my head here....could you clarify please? you stated:
"Turns out, you must shut down activesync before installing the new one. Seems to work now. Thanks"

Do you mean you kept activesynch 3.7 installed on your machine, and then just added 3.7.1?

I've always removed 3.7 and put on 3.7.1

In my experience you don't have to uninstall ActiveSync but you must make sure that it isn't running. So that means going through the service manager and task manager and turning off any currently running processses. I think there are three but I don't remember the psecifics. Then run the 3.7.1 install and it will work great.
