Perhaps do a search (here and/or on the web), find the registry key(s), then try to change it after the software is installed? Seems like it has the potential to be the quickest solution. If the software is doing it, then I think it might be wise for them to make it an optional setting rather than something it does without warning...
Maybe this is why web pages took longer to load even at native resolutions on my X3i with the software?
