Flash Rom

Why does the Ax3 have so much Flash rom and what is the roms function other that holding the os. Can you write to that section ?what is the advantage of having more.

Yes you can write to extra ROM space. The Axim calls it "built in storage" the main advantage to this is even if power is lost (battery dies) the data remains in memory cause its not affected by power lose.
