Sync/Back-Up Appointments and Contacts?

How do I back-up and or sync my appointments and contacts on my X3i to my computer. I spent too much time entering them to loose them acidently. When I go into the options menu in ActiveSync their are no check boxs next to Calendar, Notes, Contacts, ect. Please note that I do not use Outlook. Thanks!

You have to have Outlook on the PC. Thats why Dell put it on the Companion CD.

If you do not want to use Outlook then you can use ActiveSync to backup your device every time that you sync.

I know I could back up at any time but, for example, I want to do a hard restart and just restore my contacts, appointments, ect because I had too many software installations I did not want...then what would I do?
