Microsoft Reader
I have MS reader on my desktop PC as well as on my Axim 3.
When I download an ebook, it goes directly to my desktop PC
How do I activesynch the particular ebook to my Axim?

The easiest way I find for copying a book from my PC to my Axim is to click on the "Explore" button on the ActiveSync toolbar.
This will launch Windows Explorer on the root of the Axim. From there navigate to the folder where you want to store you e-books.
Open another Explorer window and navigate to the e-book on your PC. Highlight the book(s) you want to copy and right click and select Copy from the menu.
Go back to the first explorer window (showing the folder on your Axim), right click and select Paste. The books will then be copied.
Hope this helps.

If you prefer, you can do what obrienvillew said but instead of click and copy just drag to Axim folder you keep ebooks in.

I no longer use MS Reader. Several times I downloaded the free ebooks from their web site but I never got a single one to work in my Axim although they would work on the PC.
Each time I went through the procedure that told me that I "neded to download a MS Reader update" even though I already had the latest version. After updating both the PC and the PocketPC readers, all I ever got on the Axim was a message "access denied".
I have in the past purchased and downloaded MS Reader ebooks but it always seemed to be a hassle. I therefore now only buy Palm Reader books. All you need to activate is your name and the credit card number used to purchase the books. With the new Palm Reader, you can begin reading immediately and only need to enter the activation info once for books purchased at the same time.

As far as access denied, that only happens when you don't validate after download.

Simplest way
I have found that by right clicking on the download in question and, when the options pop up, select "SAVE TARGET AS" and I point it either directly to the AX or to a folder on my computer (That I named Library) and then move it over useing file explorer.
MS Reader can be a pain but I have tried all the other readers (and I am pretty sure I hit all of them) and still come back to MS Reader, it just suits my needs best and I have about 120 full books saved in that format and I don't care to have to try and download or even find them again in another format.
But to each thier own.
