shortcut problem

any body ever have the problem when you install an application it deciedes to make two icons in the program group?

Like lets say the application is called "program"

It will make..

Program and Program (2)


How do you get around this? and why does it do this?

I figured out they are stored in windows\start menu\programs

but sometimes they are not stored in there, then i have to hard reset to get them to go away.

In File Manager, click and hold on one of the icon files until a menu appears, then click Delete.
