Suggestion for Seiko inklink to use with Axim X3i

I have seen a very mixed reviews about inklink

product details:

inklink product

I plan to use with my Axim X3i. Appreciate feedbacks from all, who are either the users or have tried to use it.

Should I purchase or not?

If you do a search for InkLink in the forums, you will find a bunch of stuff. There seems to have been mixed results in terms of successes, but the common thread seemed to be 1) Check the batteries, and 2) make sure the IR pod for the device is properly aligned. BTW - I have ordered one myself and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.

The Inklink Works!!!!!

Hi again. I have just gotten my Inklink. After some fiddling, I found that it works quite well with new batteries. The only trouble I had was with the fact that the comm port for Inklink defaults to comm 1 and the Axim X3i IRDA port is comm 4. Thats all. Have a nice day!

BTW - I have just found out today that there is an OCR program that will take Inklink files and convert them to Word documents. Go to www.charactell.com and check it out. They have a 14 day demo of their program.
