A GPRS connection: how?

I know, there have been several posts regarding this subject, yet none actually gave an answer. So here it is: How do I set up a GPRS connection with my cellphone and my X3?

Info:
PDA: X3 Advanced
Cellphone: Siemens S55
GPRS: KPN/XS4ALL (Both Dutch companies, you probably won't know them)
Connection between phone and PDA: IR

I have login details for a GPRS connection with my ISP and I have a working GPRS phone (I already use my phone to check my email).

So, how do I put these two together?

OK.... not sure if this will help but lets try

On my Ax5 I have the following setup

Connection Name : Vodafone UK
Modem : Bluetooth Phone or Generic IrDA

Number :*99# <<this activates GPRS on a Nokia, not sure what the seimens code is

User : web
Password : web <<uses Mobile number for authorisation, this info is stored on your mobile
Domand :

**Advanced**
Baud :115200
extra dial-string : +cgdcont=1,"ip","internet",,1,1 <<this is the settings to ensure connection to vodafone UK

Data bits :8
Parity :even
Stop Bits :2
Flow :none

All other settings remain generic.

I got all these settings from the Vodafone web site, allbeit it took some finding but it was there.

Vodafone have a GPRS connection software which includes siemens phones called "ConnectME" you may be able to use this and change the connection settings ???

hope this helps

Thx, with this info and some on the KPN website (which is the most difficult website to find info on :rolling: ) I now have GPRS working. It's slow as hell (reminds me of my 56K days, now it's 2MBit :D ), but it works! Thx again!
