Question Refurbished x3 basic??

It looks like most people on this site have purchased the x3i or at least the advanced version. Has anyone else bought the x3 300? If so how do you like it? (performance and battery life)

I am looking at buying a refurbished basic model for $149.00. This seems like a great deal. Has anyone else bought refurbished. If so did it have cosmetic defects or anything elso wrong with it? It looks like a lot of people end up with refurbished units anyway after sending theirs back.

Better deal

Well, I didn't get any response so I waited a few days and got a better deal. Dell now has the refurbished x3 300 for $129.00!!

Even though I would have preferred to get the advance model with a faster CPU and more memory, I thought this was just too good to pass up. The delivered price including sales tax was $152.00.

Which did you order?

Did you order one of the 300 mhz basic models? As far as the "D" pad goes, I read in several reviews that the one on the X3 is better and doesn't have the problems that the x5 had.

The following is from a reveiw by BargainPDAs.com:

"The directional pad has always been one of the most common failings of the X5. Many didn't work right, and even those that did were lackluster in their feel. Fortunately, the X3's d-pad has been completely redesigned. The pad is now elliptical, and the center-press button is seperate from the directional ring. And the new design feels great. Paging, scrolling through icons, even games feel great with the new pad. The only way I could be happier with it is if the pad were round, rather than oblong."

Slip case?

Did you get the leather slip case with your refurbished x3 basic?
I didn't think it came with it but I had one in the box when mine arrived today.

I had asked earlier about the condition of the refurbished units. Maybe this will help someone else who is looking. The owners manual and some of the other papers were a little used looking but... The x3 itself looked new!! No scratches on the screen. No cosmetic defects. I was really surprised. Everything seems to work great. Can't beat it for $129!

I bought a refurbed X3 Advanced yesterday from the Dell Outlet store and noticed that by clicking on certain System Identifiers you could see what exactly each would come with. $275 models marked down to $225 could come with as little as the unit and the USB Cradle or as much as the unit, USB Cradle, USB TravelSync Cable, and Screen Protector. That what my unit came with.
