My 256MB Lexar reports as about 243MB... it's all 'cause of the sloppy definition of a MB the memory card manufacturers use....
Either:
1MB = 1024KB = 1048576B <-- this is what it shoudl be
1MB = 1024KB = 1024000B
1MB = 1000KB = 1000000B <-- this is the height of cheekyness if you ask me, but probably most common.
The computer / PDA will always use the top defninition, hence the discrepancy between the size it says on the card and the size reported...
1MB = 1000K = 1024KB
