What OS are you using?
If XP or 2000 go into Windows Explorer and go to Tools > Folder Options and on the view tab select " Show Hidden files and Folders" You may also want to uncheck hide extensions for known file types and uncheck hide system files and folders.

Follow the steps above with the uninstall of Active Sync and deleting the temp files, can't hurt

Found the hidden folders, deleted them....still no luck with the syncronizing. I think I'm going to have to get MS on the horn, and find out whats up with this crap.

Yes, I am having probolems with AS 3.7.1 (4034) w/xp pro sp 1 on the desktop pc. I was using AS 3.7 with only 1 problem of not being able to drag/drop files to mobile device in windows explorer, AS explorer or going through my computer to the mobile device. The device is listed in the tree but, now, there are no files or folders listed and when I click on the mobile device icon I get a critical connection error. The device is connected and I can sync contacts, calendar or anything else available but no drag/drop. AS (4034) works with my AX on my laptop but I can not drag/drop files on it either. I have deleted the temp folder but that did not help. I am back to using 3.7 on my desktop. Drag/drop is no big problem as I use a card reader and transfer files that way, but I would like to know what is going wrong.

FINALLY got this issue resolved....after much hassle and time wasting. Not even really sure what happened, but I made a backup of my x3i via pocketbackup plus, uninstalled AS, looked for any instance of a folder called "activesync" deleted everything I could find for it.....then hard reset my x3i.

After the hard reset, I reinstalled AS 3.7.1 build 4034 from MS website. Tried to sync it to a freshly hard reset device. Worked fine. Then pulled the device out of the cradle, restored the back up, and attempted to resync....worked fine. Modified settings for attachments (up to 300 lines, 7 days, 3MB limit) everything seems to come across just fine now.....after over a week of messing with it.

Good luck to you chaps out there with this or similar problems!
