Question Media Players For the X3i

Hi all,

Based on feedback from the previous X3i-iPod discussion, I decided to explore options for media players other than the Windows Media Player for Pocket PC that comes bundled with the device. My key requirements are:

- WMA and MP3 file support (OGG support is a plus)
- Gapless playback (TRUE gapless, not just crossfading)
- A nice interface (skins are a plus)

Based on these specifications, I found both PocketMusic and Pocket Player to be excellent options. Both, however, seem a little buggy in their latest versions, and both don't seem to deliver true gapless playback as advertised -- my X3i always leaves a short, <1 second break between tracks.

My questions to the forum:

1. Has anyone gotten either of these players to work correctly with gapless playback? -- How?
2. Are there other media player options I should be considering that offer similar features, and that may better meet my needs?

(And before you recommend GSplayer, sorry, it doesn't support WMA! )

Thanks for your input!

Beyond the power of the standard MS player, I have found PocketMVP to be trully killer. I got it for its DivX support which is absolutely stellar, and makes my train commutes a butt load more fun. However it also has some insane audio support, ie ogg and mp3 support as well as streaming and the like. very useful.

I would stay clear of the Real Player for pocket pc however the quality sucks ass on that thing.

What's wrong with a gap between tracks? Makes more sense than going right into the next song. At least Pocketmusic doesn't have the annoying pop noise at the end any more. Also - PocketMusic also supports Audible.com's audio books.
