no sound for reminder but get sound for alarm??

If I set an alarm I get a sound and a message on the screen. however if I set an appointment in Outlook and reminder then the reminder does not sound OR flash.
This was working - some how it seems to have stopped. I did travel on a plane with it recently anyone know if thats a problem?

i dont think that the plane would have cause it... u didnt carry it thru a metal detector did you? If it was working before and stopped recently, have u installed or changed anything around the time it stopped working? if all else fails backup and hard reset it as a last resort

don't think I went through a metal detector - international flight to England and I think I put the Axim through the x-ray machines.

What happens with metal detectors ??
