Appointments on Desktop Deleted After Active Sync Session

I tried to active sync my desktop with my axim but two things happened. First, not all of the appointments were transferred to my axim. Second, and to my horror, appointments were deleted from my desktop. I did not have any entries on my axim when I started as I just wanted to transfer the appointments/calender from my desktop. Where did these files disappear to? And, can I get them back? While I have since learned how to backup my Outlook, I would like to believe I won't have to cross my fingers when I sync. My rules told the computer to leave unresolved conflict alone. Help, anyone??

  1. The Appointments sounds like a filter problem: make sure that you are not filtering appointments on your Axim (On Ax) Open Calendar, Tools, Options... make sure that there are no categories checked.
  2. Your tasks rely not just on rules to sync but what you've told AS to sync. Check that the tasks that disappeared were not complete. AS on pc Tools, Options highlight Tasks click Settings you should be able to see any problems from there.
