Great review - definitely important to me as I want to get in before the 30th May deadline (to get the free SD card).
What still stuns me are the prices for the accessories when purchased up-front. This has got to be a HP killer for the Australian market.
For $AUD699 (US489) I can have the Wifi/BT 312MHz version, extra 256MB SD, leather case, extra year warranty, foldable keyboard. That's the same price as the HP2210 sells without keyboard, WIFI, SD card, case, extra warranty.
If Dell don't sell heaps of these then they're not trying!!

Don't be: the x3i is a great machine and, as Chris points out, there are a few (minor) bugs to resolve in the x30.
Battery life appears to be better on your machine as well. No doubt the x30 is a great pda, especially for the money, but I can't see any immediate advantages with the exception of the new processor.

Why conned?
If Dell gave everyone plenty of warning of a new product, then who's going to keep buying the existing product? It just doesn't make business sense.....

great job! I think I'll be ore than pleased with the 312 Mhz unit I've ordered. Inages at the Dell Australian site are showing the cradle with the 312 but checking the order does show only a sync cable.
This thing sounds like a rocket. Since I really like the X3 form-factor, and since I was kind of looking to get into blue tooth, I may have to figure out a way to get rid of my X5 Advance, pass my X3i to my wife, and scrape up some dough for the new X30 High...;)
