X30 High - ordered 5/18 - "Delivery Estimate: June 15 - June 17"

However, on the phone with Dell Customer Service last week about returning my just-ordered X3i, I asked her to check on ship date for the X30, and she told me "First week of June." :D

She could, though, have been just looking at the X30 Mid dates

we all know that there wont be any x30 high ends to show off at the memorial day bbq's but does anyone know what the reason is? i guess it would have to come down to the chip, but why?

I ordered my mid x30 the morning of 5/18 and its still in pre-production. Did the people who already got theres order thru SB instead of home?

I ordered through SB instead of Home and got mine within like 36 hours from time of order. I didn't get the cool Atari card though. :)

This happens every time they release a new model. Ship dates get longer and longer from the time of ordering, as ever more people get on the badwagon of Dell's new handheld. They can only warehouse so many, after all.

Califas, give Dell a call, they should be able to expedite your order. A few people end up with delays like yours each time (where almost eveyone, except them, get one at the same time).

I ordered the high today may 24th and my estimated ship date is june 16th.

I ordered mine yesterday, the 24th, supposed to ship around the 16th of june. Yes if you have a special secret number to call please release it from its hindering hiding spot!

Est Ship 6/15

But status of order shows is not even in Pre-production yet. Now these things are made in China, so they better hurry it up because shipping alone will take 1-2 weeks.

My theory behind the delay is they are sending all the x3/x3i NIB back to China and swapping out the guts, then shipping it back to the US. :)

You're normal in delay, they'd have no incentive to speed up your order.

Califas, there's no 'secret number' you just have to find a CSR that can help you. I may have mis-interpreted what you said to, at first read it sounded like others that ordered from Home too had already gotten theirs. If that was the case, you may have found out that the ship date would just keep just being pushed back. (a glitch in their system perhaps?)

(800)-901-3355 is the only number I have if something like that happens.
