Did you say keyboard?

That may be a problem right there, depending on what the keyboard is and whether the drivers are compatible.

If you don't have too much important info right now, I'd say a hard reset is a good idea.

I've never had problems with my x3, runs like a dream.

It is the Dell keyboard so one would assume that the drivers are compatible.

They are .... but have you updated to the latest releases, available from the Dell website? I note that specifically there are keyboard drivers there (not that I use a keyboard 'cos I'm a demon at Graffiti being an ex-Palm user since the original beastie that started all of this stuff.....)

Mine's never "locked up" - not once. I've had applications that wouldn't close, and had to soft reset, but I was always able to use the other features whenever that happened. I noted someone asking about playing MP3s in the background with Windows Media Player - I do it all the time - never had a problem

Mine only locked up when using freaky programs. Once I uninstalled the offending program it didn't lock up anymore.

You might want to look into all the programs you have installed on your Axim.

Also, even if you didn't install a lot of programs that are conflicting make sure you actually CLOSE the programs either using Dell's pre-installed "Switcher" program or a thrid party program. You could have tons of programs running in the background, unbeknownst to you, causing lock ups.

And make sure that you have enough memory alloted for active running programs. Use the slider bar to give the running programs more memory.

Best of luck.

Hi all...just joined up. Had my X3 for abt. 4 months now. The one with the Wi-Fi.

The major lockups I get are when I run PDAMILL GAMES. If the X3 goes into power-save shutdown and wants the password, the game sits on top making it well nigh impossible to enter the info to get back into the thing. I end up having to 'guess' where the numbers are and am getting better and better at entering the password 'blind'. :rolling:
