How often does your Axim lock up?

My Axim X3i is a week old and it seems like it locks up on me quite a bit. I previously had a X5 Advanced and it hardly ever locked up. A soft reset usually does the trick, but I am having to do this 3 times a day it seems. Does this seem excessive to anyone or is it the norm?

Also, I have to do a soft reset for it to recognice the Dell Keyboard as well, is that normal?

hm, not for me, my unit runs fine wihtout any lockups - or barely any lockups ...

check and see if your software are compatible with each other - sometimes simple stuff like today screen plugins might conflict and cause lockups...

I rarely ever get a lock up. I did during the first couple weeks but honestly nothing in a long while. I've added quite a bit and I think since I've added a utility like wisbar or Ichbar that actually closes programs instead of minimizes helped.
I've added "CheckNotifications" and "Notification Clear Fix" that clear conflicts in calendars. You can get it Here

no lockups here at all in normal use..
I have loaded up some games/beta apps which promptly locked things up but that is to be expected when playing around.

My Axim x3i locks up if I play MP3s and set it to play in the background while I use other apps on the handheld.

If I just use WMP and dont minimize it, the MP3s play fine.

Anyone else experienced this?

My X30 locks up frequently (3-4 times a day), most often when switching between portrait and landscape orientations.

No lock ups during "normal" use here.

The only lock ups I experience is when I try to do something out of the ordinary (play movies that's way too big, opening all programs at one time, etc.)

For normal everyday use, my X3i is really impressive.

mine never freezes unless i do something out of the ordinary with it when i am playing around with it... never freezes during everyday use

The only time mine locks up is when I try some old programs. Stuff from before WM2003. Some stuff works fine others..... You just have to try and see if they work. Do you have any old stuff on it?

I have very few programs on it and none are plug ins or anything like that. At this point, I am thinking about seeing if Dell will give a refund. If they won't I will just sell it on Ebay and get a HP.

Thanks for your help. This is so frustrating because my old Axim X5 ran great. At this point, this one is more work than it is worth. I think I may just get rid of this one and get a HP.

See, the part that bugs me, is I don't have any games or anything like that on it. It gets so annoying when I need it and it is locked or it takes 3 tries to get it to recognize the keyboard. What a bummer.

I don't play movies or games or anything of the sort. This is really disappointing because my previous Axim was a dream. I am wishing I never sold it at this point.

Mine is locking up by just entering a new contact or something. Basic tasks are becoming a hassle. Hmmmmm.....

Thanks. I may have to try removing some programs and see if it gets better. I don't really have a lot on there. I think the only program that I installed on there is a Bill Due Date Manager but it was locking up before that.
