Battery Life of X3 w/o Wifi

I've owned my X3 for about a month and my battery meter reads full capacity at 2 1/2 hours. I keep the screen on full brightness and at 400 mhz. Does this amount of time seem right? I've read many posts on X3i battery life but not much on the X3.

I charged the battery for four hours at inception. I normally keep the battery on the cradle at work and don't use it much except for Avantgo and watching movies on a plane. I've watched a 1 1/2 hour movie on the X3 and the battery drained to about 45% from max. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds normal. X3/X3i doesn't have a huge mAh battery to begin with so it gets good time for what battery it has. Grab a extended battery for $49 and it will last long long time. 2000mAh(Muegn Extended) compared to 950mAh(Dell Standard) battery.

Thanks High Tymes. It just seemed to me that others were getting much more battery time on their standard battery from posts I've read. Others have claimed 4 hours standard with no wifi. I'm glad that my battery is doing just fine.

Is it me, or does the WiFi just totally scorch battery life? I know it drains it quicker, but I'm getting about an Hour if I'm using WiFi consistenely. Just thought I'd ask. Also, I've disabled PowerSave mode on my adapter.

@wooch06
The powersave makes a BIG difference if it works, wooch... whether it works depends both on whether you can connect with it on, and what you're connecting to - I get much better life with battery saving on when connecting to an access point than to a ad-hoc, for example.

@ebelen1
The amount of life you'll get depends hugely on what you're doing - playing films is fairly processor intensive, so will cause the battery to go down much quicker than playing mp3s, which is itself quicker than just reading text. I get 2h30m or so of video playing out of my X3 (with wifi disabled).
