.Net Compact Framework
Although the indication is that WM2003 is supposed to include NCF, none of the gaming applications seem to work with my X3.
Anyone else have this difficulty?
The games Four Shields and Mobile Casino are prime examples.

What ROM do you have? It is included - the version with the A01/A02 ROMs is later than that with the A00 ROM I believe... and there's a newer version still that you can download.

The ROM i Have is A01, but I have even downloaded and reloaded NCF from Microsoft and still a no go. I have experienced this problem on two Axim X3s.

Although I reloaded this application and performed a soft reset, the applications still do not function.

Hi!
I'm one of Four Shields developers. I can say that this game was tested on different WM 2003 devices (iPAQ 2210/1930/1940, ASUS 620, Dell X5) without any problems. Could you please describe encountered problem exactly - how you "feel" this problem, what you see on the screen at that moment, etc.
Thanks in advance!

The Program Icon is touched and the Program looks like it will start, but just stops. Hence, it tries to open, but does not. The program icon reflects in the start window as a recently used program, but it never operates.

Do you have such problem with all .NET CF programs?
What .NET CF version do you have? Devices with the .NET CF runtime installed should have a file called cgacutil.exe located in the \Windows directory of your Pocket PC. Clicking on it will tell you its version.

I indeed have a problem with all .NET CF programs. Not a one will run. The version of the file is "Microsoft (R) .NET Compact Framework [1.0.3316.00]."

I heard from one our user about similar problem with .NET CF. He was tried to perform Hard reset (of course, after backup). It sounds enough strange even for my but it helps :) Really, it's not a joke! I can't explain this situation, but it works!
