PocketSNES and the X30
Hello all;
I have a X30 and love it so far. I was about to download PocketSNES but was not sure which PDA CPU version to download as they don't seem to list the XScale CPU. This is what is availabe:
ARM = Release for Pocket PC's using a StrongARM processor (iPaq 36xx/37xx/38xx, Toshiba Genio, Casio E-200, Jornada 56x)
MIPS = Release for Pocket PC's using a MIPS processor (Casio E-115/125/500/7xx/8xx)
SH3 = Release for Pocket PC's using a SH3 processor (Jornada 525/54x)
SRC = Source code for each release (all processor types)
Anyone have any idea?

Yeah, the X-scale is an ARM processor. I recommend MorphGear for SNES emulation, the sound in PocketSNES is really screwed up, and MorphGear runs games just as fast but with good sound. PLEASE GIVE US FEEDBACK ON HOW WELL SNES RUNS ON THE X30 HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I have now tried both MorphGear and PocketNES and both work well on the X30. As expected, the control suck due to the X30's dial wheel. To me it seems like MorphGear plays better and of course, it emulates other consoles pretty well to.

Would you mind namming some games and mentioning what kind of FPS you are getting? Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, 3? Super Mario World?

Well, using MorphGear the SNES games run anywhere from 25 - 50+ frames depending on the games. The sound is grea too. Genesis games seem to run slower.
