Back-up Battery
When you look at the power management setting should it always say "Back-Up Battery: Detecting"? That is what mine says.

I received my X30 High yesterday, and started using it this morning. I was sure my backup battery was fully charged ...? After installing my programs, Battery Bar Pro, etc., I'm seeing the same thing. Backup says 0% and power management says detecting.
Bittercold, did you install any programs like I did?

Mine says "Backup Battery Normal'
Did you guys turn the pda on, then back off while it was charging for the first time (like the people on this site tell you to)?

Oddly enough, my package didn't have those stickers, but I knew to do it anyway.

My backup battery bar reads just fine now. Just did a soft reset and all was well.

?
I did not turn the unit on and off during its first charge---am I out of luck now? My box/unit didn't say anything about that...
I charged my unit for about 10 hours before using for the first time.
It says "Backup Battery-Normal"
What should I do? Soft reset? Order a warranty replacement?

The back up battery during its first charge can take up to 24 (or more) hours to charge to full capacity so stick your axim in it cradle and don't touch it for 24 hours and see where that gets you.

Just seems to be draining fairly fast---not sure why---not really running anything that would drain it fast?!?!
Also---on the first time...should I let the battery drain all the way before re-charging or just re-charge when I get near an outlet?
Thanks-
JJS
