Can We Solve The X30 Puzzle?

I got my replacement x30 today. The screen is much better than before, but still not like my x3i. I wonder if a third time replacement is a charm? Who knows. However, the screens are different and are like the rest that I have seen. Here are 2 pictures to give you an idea.

This first picture you can tell, but unless you have decent eyes, you won't.

OLD on LEFT --------------------------------- NEW on RIGHT

However, thise second picture was adjusted. I removed shadows and did nothing more. They were side by side when I took this shot. No difference. Pics 1 and 2 are the same. Just this one has been adjusted to show the difference in color temprature of the screen.

OLD on LEFT --------------------------------- NEW on RIGHT

Maybe. I need everyone who has gotten an X30 - L/M/H to post the number that is on the top white sticker in the battery compartment. If you got a replacement, also post the number. However many X30's you have, post the number :)

Origional - CD-0D4542-70166-45L-A270
Replacement - CN-0D4542-70166-45P-B0DW

Thanks

Someone mentioned there was also a difference in the batteries, the original was a "rough" textured and the new is smooth. I got mine today wit a replacement battery and they are both smooth. Wonder? Might that have something to do with it?

Jacooch that was me...

Yeah there is also a difference in the Mobile 2003se logo...it should be darker.

There is a difference in sensativity also...

The battery texture (the back of it) is also smooth... this is all weird to me... :rolling:

I just have the original X30 High. Number is:

CN-0D4542-70166-45L-A2MN

The battery is "textured."

The screen looks darn white to me. At least much much whiter than my laptop will ever get. Sensitivity could improve, but gets better everyday.

Screen lots just as good as my X3i, if not whiter. Back of battery looks and feels just like the case. Sensitivity is worse then my x3i but easier as time goes by.

Screen is white. Back of battery is smooth. Screen sensitivity not so good, but I just got it yesterday.

After seeing this, and realizing that i have the older one, and that my screen sucking royally isn't on all X30h's, i called dell and requested a replacement. The service guy told me that there is no widespread problem with the x30 screens, no difference in battery textures, and no new screens (hiding something?). But anyway, thats what went down.
