There are a number of ways to do it:

1. Simply IR beam everything over from your Clie to your Axim. This is quick but you will have to re organize contacts.

2. Export the Palm information from the desktop to Outlook (I think there is a program on the Palm CD to do this), then sync your AX

There are also some products out there that do this but I can't remember their names. I'm sure someone else does.

Good luck

For Palm to Outlook, I used to use PocketMirror from Chapura, that's what's on the CD that may have come with your Palm.

transfering data between palm and axim

Thank you everyone for sending in help for my problem. I went back to the palm disc and found "Intelisync" on it and it allowed me to easily transfer all my data to the new Axim. So now all is well, my wife is happy and I am a "hero"!!

OK, slightly different question:

I really use my old Palm notes. Easy way to transfer those?

I'm not worried about calendar and contacts, I know Outlook will do that.

My X30 was just ordered, so I haven't had a chance to play with it yet to see if this is easy.

When you say Notes which program are you referring to? Do you mean Memos or the handwritten notes app? If it's the handwritten one, I can't think of any way to get them into the x30 since there is no Outlook equivalent afaik

Outlook does have a Notes feature that can sync with the Palm when you have the right software

No, the Outlook program can not recognize hand written notes form your Palm.
Although I would think if you convert them over to a jpg file them you could sync them over and view them via Pictures on the x unit.

D'oh, sorry 'bout that, was thinking about the keyed in notes, not hand written.
