X30 312, 624 battery life?

Well..... now I am thinking about getting the 624 rather than just the 312 X30.

My main concern is the battery life once I buy this thing I don't want to spend any more on it for a while so a bigger battery is out. I know there is power save mode but I don't want to always run it in PS.

What are the life lines of the batteries comparatively? I would mostly use calculators, excel, word, translators, and financial software.

How long will they last of constant use and how long on stand by (If you can do this with a PDA, I don't know) Like a cell phone may say 4 hrs calling and 12 hrs on stand by etc. etc.

Thanks a lot.

Any idea how much running time it has when using the standard battery?

Example: X30 312 has 4hrs running times, X30 624 has 2.75hrs running time.

Thanks.

well i cant give u an exact (my ppc been donw for a year lol) but if ur just running calculator, exel, word, translaters Ect, it will last for awhile, maybe 4 hours on normal settings

-i remember using the net, music, videos, games and mine lasted 4 hours(its all in the power save options, low brightness, no sound, put your prosesser on power save. (make sure ur wifi is off if ur not using it) use switcher bar to exit out of programs fully, ect..

-but remember 4 hours is alot, im sure u wont need ur ppc on for 4 straight hours, plus u can quickly charge the axims.

For the x30, you probably won't get more than 2 hours of constant use. This is with the brightness up to maybe 75%. After using mine for 1.5 years, I can get only 1 hour tops with wifi and IE, and maybe 1.5 hours max without wifi. But I have a cradle at work and home so I never run low except when I'm out of town for a few weeks.
