MorphGear Compatibility Issues?

Okay, so I just got my X30 today. Naturally, the first two items I installed were PocketNester and MorphGear. I started playing donkey kong on morphgear and noticed a button lag. I thought that maybe the X30 suffers from button lag and I would be forced to send it back. However, I tried playing mario 3 in pocketnester, and there was no button lag! I could play just fine! I played through the second world or so and decided to go back to morphgear. For comparison purposes, I loaded up all stars and played mario 3. There was button lag! I even tried different versions of morphgear and there was still button lag. It is the same version i used on my old pocket pc, and I used to have no problems with it. I'm thinking that this could possibly be a compatibility issue with WM2003SE. Can anyone else see if they have the same problem with their X30? This really sucks because running morphhear is typically about 90% of my PPC usage. I don't wanna use PSNES because of the crappy sound. If you think you are the kind of person that may not notice this kind of thing, try doing what I did, playing the NES mario 3 in an emulator other than morphgear and then trying the mario 3 in allstars in morphgear. See if you notice a difference in the "handling".

if you link me to the .cab of morphgear and link me to what games u want me to try then ill be so happy to do it for ya (no sync cable)

Well, I'm not absolutely sure as to how to isolate the .cab file. If anyone here has already noticed this problem and hopefully found a solution, please let me know. Other than this one problem I love the X30. However, if this problem cannot be resolved, I will be forced to return it and get a different PPC.

I think it's a GAPI compatibility problem related not to the Axim, but to WM2003SE.

ya i noticed this to i just figured its a problem with morphgear so i just use other emulators :(

Well, when this one piece of software is perhaps one of the only reasons you need the extra processing power that the Axim has, yeah, of course I'll return it if it isn't compatible.

"CURTISBEEF": What other emulators do you use for SNES? I tried PocketSNES and I had the same problem for some reason! The only emulator where I don't have this problem is PocketNester.

I think you're right Gwing, because I get the slight button delay also but only in games that use the GAPI dll. Other games respond just fine to it, so hopefully either Dell or MS will fix that issue soon.

arghh, this stinks. i was planning on playing some snes rpgs with my axim which hasn't come yet.

I can't see how a bit of button lag would cause trouble on a RPG ;-)

Havn't noticed the lag myself, though maybe that's as I only have gameboy tetris on at the moment, which seems fine to me.

I wouldn't return it for that though, new emulators and updated versions will come out cause emulation really could benifit from the extra speed.

i'm having the same problem with morphgear. i ahve a X30 low & the only emulation i can get to work without button lag is with pocketNES with the sound turned off. i fi have the sound on, then it has the same button lag.

Its probably because the 312MHz speed isn't quite up to the task. For example I ran Advance Wars on MorphGear. On the 312MHz speed I got a HUGE speed lag! gets even worse with sound. On 624MHz, no lag. However I do notice a significant lag with sound turned on.
The lesson? TURN Sound off!!! =)

no, cuz it ran fine on my old hp ipaq 1945 with a 266 mhz processor...

there is always a button lag i have x30 high. it has to do with the GAPI in WSE2003. I cant play genesis with sound because then the whole screen lags worse and without sound i jump 3 seconds after i clicked the button. we need to get it fixed or have a new emu made

is there any way to downgrade to ppc 2003 first edition because it works fine
